The holiday home has been beautifully decorated with top quality linen, furniture and artwork and enjoys possibly the best views in Darling - over rolling hills and farmlands to the distant mountains.

Downstairs comprises two bedrooms (one with a queen-sized bed, one with twin beds) both luxuriously en-suite, with an open plan kitchen, dining and living area with fireplace, leading via French doors to a large, sheltered verandah with built-in braai. Stairs from the dining area lead to the spacious loft with another sitting area. The loft has a queen-sized bed and free-standing Victorian bath, with separate loo and basin. The loft has a small balcony with panoramic views and guests can even star-gaze from bed!
The cottage is located in an indigenous renosterveld estate with only 9 other houses in the whole estate. The house has been designed for privacy and relaxation. Restaurants, shops and galleries are a mere 3 minutes' drive away, but you will probably prefer to unwind by absorbing the peaceful country atmosphere and wonderful views over the neighbouring farmlands. There are beautiful walks and trails nearby. Two mountain bikes are included for your pleasure to explore the quaint village of Darling.
Aloe Cottage is fully equipped with a dishwasher, fridge/freezer, gas stove, electric oven, microwave and a chef's array of pots, pans and appliances. The cottage includes a fireplace, heater, fans, books, games, a small fenced indigenous garden, and lots more for your relaxation. It also includes 2 televisions, DVD players, selection of DVD discs, and a CD player, just in case... Either bring your own DStv satellite smartcard or use ours for a nominal fee.
Enjoy your days unwinding on the sheltered verandah to the soundtrack of the local birds, have a braai (wood is provided), watch a show with Tannie Evita Bezuidenhout, see the weaver birds build their nests right outside the window, curl up with a book in the hammock, or just relax on the deep, comfy couches in front of the fireplace with some fine Darling wine.
The adjacent fields of the Oude Post farm occasionally offer a glimpse of the beautiful long horns and speckled hides of the Nguni cattle.
