The southernmost tip of the African continent is only 2 hours’ drive from Cape Town. In keeping with this, the Agulhas Country Lodge is built from local limestone and blends beautifully into a hill overlooking the spectacular oceans. The lodge has several relaxation areas a cigar lounge, quaint pub, a TV room, a lounge area and glass clad balcony with spectacular sea views for whale watching. The dinner restaurant is currently closed due to the covid 19 pandemic, we hope to re-open the restaurant next year. There are several restaurants very close by.

Agulhas Country Lodge has eight rooms and all rooms have sea views from the balcony, two have direct sea views and the honeymoon rooms with their Jacuzzi baths and double open showers are very popular. The rooms also have views of the varied fynbos and bird life on the property. Beautiful percale linen, original art and antique Cape cottage furniture enhance the homely atmosphere. Four rooms have three-quarter twin beds two of these rooms are family rooms with three beds and the other four have queen-size double beds.

The honeymoon rooms have an entertainment centre and mini bar. All the rooms features air-conditioners and the rooms have panel heaters. Swimming at the beach nearby Struisbaai is a popular activity in summer and is safe. Agulhas offers two tidal pools within walking distance and the second oldest light house is a brisk walk away.

Beach: The beach is virtually on your doorstep at Agulhas Country Lodge; you can swim safely in Struisbaai, the longest uninterrupted white beach in Southern Africa, or take part in kite surfing and other water sports.

Golf: We are close to the Bredasdorp Golf Course, a well-maintained 9-hole course and the southernmost golf course in Africa. You are welcome to rent golf clubs at the Lodge.

Wedding Venues: A very romantic setting for small intimate weddings of up to twenty guests.

Family friendly: We accept all children and have 1 cot on the premises that can be set up upon request. We can also cater for children if advised in advance.
