STYLISH STUDIO APARTMENT
A beautiful stylised hand-painted mural of a protea flower and sunbird is a delightful feature of African Icon, reminding you of Cape Town’s unique flora. The mural’s colours are picked up in cushions and throws over the queen-size bed, which is dressed with quality white linens - very inviting! There is a shower bathroom. The open-plan design of this chic holiday flat gives the feeling of openness and cosiness at the same time!
LOUNGE & DINING AREA
A comfy leather L-shaped sofa next to the sliding doors to the Juliette balcony faces the TV which has the full range of South African satellite channels. The neatly designed kitchen has it all; washing machine, fridge/freezer, oven and hob, Nespresso coffee machine, microwave and full crockery and cutlery, pots and pans. You could create a gourmet meal here, but I suspect you will want to eat out at Cape Town’s many excellent and great value restaurants.
GREAT LOCATION
African Icon’s super location means that it is just a 5-15 minute walk to the restaurants of Bree Street, nightlife of Long Street, stalls of Greenmarket Square, cobbled streets of Bo-Kaap Malay Quarter and trendy/gay De Waterkant, the banks of Adderley Street and the calm and tranquillity of Company’s Gardens surrounded by museums and galleries. The step on-&-off Cape Town Sightseeing Bus departs from the Convention Centre, while the MyCiti bus stops right outside the apartment building. 5-15 minutes by car takes you to Table Mountain cablecar, Camps Bay beach, Robben Island ferry, Kirstenbosch Gardens, Constantia Winelands, Seapoint Promenade and Kloof Street full of restaurants and quirky boutiques.
You just have to look out of the 5th floor windows of African Icon apartment into the heart of Cape Town, with Table Mountain peeking behind the tallest buildings, to realise how close everything is.
