Set in a beautiful garden with lots of birdlife. Stunning mountain view! 4 individually stylisch decorated rooms. Large swimmingpool. Situated on walking distance of the historic town centre, restaurants and shops. Easy access to the premiss and secure parking. Explore our village, visit a world famous wine cellar or olive farm. Lots of activity in the Witzenberg valley! It's only a 1,5 hour drive from Cape Town! Come and make yourself at home!

Safari: We are very happy to book your safari at Inverdoorn Game Reserve or Aquila Private Game Resevere. A lovely scenic drive from maximum 1,5 hrs. will give you the opportunity to experience a day trip you will not regret and create lovely memories.

Spa: Tulbagh has several options for a Day Spa, contact us and we will tell you all about it and are happy to book your relaxed session.

Golf: Their are several golf courses within an hours drive from the guesthouse. Closest one is Ceres which is about 20 minutes.

Wedding Venues: Tulbagh is one of the beautiful Wedding destinations in the Western Cape. All venues are on a easy driving distance from our guesthouse. Taxi / shuttle services are also available in town.

Family friendly: Renting the complete African Tulip Guesthouse gives you the opportunity to stay with your group of people in a private house but with the luxury of our B&B! Enjoy that delicious breakfast that's included and make our home your home!

Elise is a welcoming and hospitable host who made us feel very at-home. She happily supplied us with excellent information on the local area, and made us dinner reservations. One thing I would just point out for anyone for whom it might be an issue is that, in the room we stayed in, the en-suite bathroom is separated from the room by a wooden shutter, which does not provide any (audio) privacy. Otherwise we had a fantastic stay and will definitely be back.
