Built in 1905 by Sidney Herbert Adley during the Ostrich Feather Boom, this magnificent Victorian home was bequeathed in 1948 to the orphans of the Second World War. Mr and Mrs Macmoran tended 16 Polish orphans until they completed high school in the early 60s until was sold.
We bought the property in 1989 and undertook the arduous task of restoration. Hilda started a B&B in 1994 which is now a true guest house offering a retreat for you to enjoy.

The rooms were nice but we would have preferred a bit more independence with our own braai facilities. The breakfast was nice especially the coffee!
