Being both on the beach and estuary, the birdlife is also a real treat for avid bird watchers, so don’t forget your binocs.

When the weather is not so fantastic, one can take a leisurely drive along the old coastal roads and visit the many little shops bakeries restaurants and get a true feeling of yesteryear – of course, should one need access to bigger shopping centres and chain stores, they too are just a hop skip & jump away (Hibberdene, Shelly Beach and Port Shepstone are literally on one's doorstep)

Other nearby attractions include a Crocodile farm, various golfing estates, with the infamous Wild Coast Sun Casino less than an hour away. Other major Centres like Amanzimtoti and Durban itself are also just an hour’s drive away.
