Important Information
We aim to make your stay as comfortable and memorable as it can possibly be! For us to do so, we would appreciate it if you follow these House and Complex rules. By completing the guest information form you have confirmed that these have been reviewed and accepted. This is to ensure that if there is any reason the House Rules cannot be followed, you, our guest/s, will have the option of cancelling the booking. Thank you in advance.
- Please let us know immediately if something is malfunctioning so it can be rectified as soon as possible.
- Identity Document: On confirmation of reservation a copy of ID (South Africa identity document or passport) must be sent, via email / WhatsApp to the host. This must be sent at least 4 days prior to check-in.
- Camera: For security purposes, there is an external camera on the property, outside the front door, facing the gate to the townhouse. This camera will be on 24/7. There are no cameras nor recording devices inside the townhouse in any “living area”.
- Number of Guests: You have confirmed a reservation for a specific number of overnight guests. Please honour this number and don’t invite additional guests. Additional guests will result in the immediate cancellation of the reservation, or a penalty fee of ZAR1,000 per additional person, per night.
- Parking: As the townhouse is in a complex, parking in the allocated parking areas is important. There is a single, lock-up garage and a single covered car port – both marked number 2.
- Children: We have opened our home to children, of all ages, however, children must always be under active supervision, by a parent or guardian. We accept no responsibility nor liability for children.
- No Parties: Guests are not permitted to host parties and events on the property. In the unfortunate event of high noise levels disturbing neighbours, guest/s will be asked to vacate the property immediately. Should it be necessary to engage with the security company, there will be a charge of R2,500 per call-out.
- Quiet Hours: Please keep noise to a minimum after 10pm. Enjoy the space but please be respectful of the complex residents. All noise levels must be considerate, especially at night and over weekends, as this is a home in a suburban and complex setting, and we like to keep our neighbours as friends.
- Smoking: To maintain a fresh and healthy environment, this is a non-smoking home. Extra cleaning fees, of ZAR1,000, to remove odour, will need to be applied if this request is not respected.
- Cooking: Please refrain from cooking with strong spices as these tend to leave a lingering odour, impacting on other guests’ enjoyment of the space. Extra cleaning fees, to remove the odour/s, will have to be charged if this request is not respected.
- Cleaning: We pride ourselves on handing over a clean home for you to enjoy. On departure, please leave it in the same way it was presented. All cleaning equipment, including a dishwasher have been provided. On the day of your departure please load the dishwasher and turn it on.
- Cleaning the baths and kitchen sink: Please do not use Handy Andy or any other abrasive cleaning material. This will damage the enamel coating.
- Barbeque (BBQ): The BBQ (known as a braai in South Africa) is there for your use and recreational enjoyment. As with all appliances and amenities, you will find it clean on your arrival, with the understanding that it will be left clean after use.
- Consumables: We have equipped our home with some basic consumables, such as condiments, which you are free to use. We try our very best to ensure that they have not expired, however, please inspect them before consumption.
- Accidents do happen: Should something be broken or damaged please let us know about it.
- Damaged or missing items will need to be paid for by you before departure.
- If guests are suspected of carrying and/or using illegal drugs of any kind, the authorities will be engaged, and guest/s will be asked to vacate the property immediately.
- Lastly, because this is a short-term rental community not a hotel and is “home away from home” for all guests, we know we can trust you to respect and leave the property as you found it.
