1 Mountain Rd is newly completed, and represents the culmination of a dream that hosts Sanchia and Ray took five years to turn into reality. We identified this idyllic spot whilst on a motorcycle tour of South Africa in 2014, and immediately fell in love with the view, deciding there and then that this is where we would like to spend our retirement years. The vista is so special and awe inspiring, that we resolved to share it with those who would find as much pleasure in it as we do, and hence we included our B&B rooms.1 Mountain Rd, being both our address, as well as our establish
Directly overlooking the golden sands of Fish Hoek beach - well renowned as a Blue Flag status swimming beach. Also close to Muizenburg beach which is a famous surfing and kite surfing location.
We are in sight of, and just a few kilometers from the magnificent well renowned Clovelly golf course. Other nearby popular golf courses are Westlake (12 km) and Steenberg ( 18km).
Unfortunately, we do not accommodate children under the age of 12.
Our small and person boutique B&B, is ideally suited to couples seeking comfort peace and quiet, whilst enjoying the spectacular sea and mountain views offered by every room.

Important Information
ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE
In order for us to ensure that your accommodation is up to expectations, please note that access to rooms will only be available from 14h00 on the day of arrival. Check in times are between 14h00 to 19h00.
Departing guests are required to vacate the rooms by 10h00 on the day of departure.
TERMS OF PAYMENT
50% of tariff is payable as a deposit to secure the booking.
The outstanding balance is to be settled on arrival by cash (SA Rands), EFT or Credit Card. Amex and Diners Club cards are not accepted.
Any additional bank charges for international bank transfers will be added to the total accommodation account.
BREAKFAST
Guests whose booking is for the breakfast inclusive tariff, can upon arrival, opt for either a continental or full English breakfast.
A continental breakfast is served in the breakfast room between 07h30 and 09h00.
Guests who opt for the English breakfast, will receive an R80 voucher for the Beachcomber Bistro situated on Fish Hoek beach directly below 1 Mountain Rd, and a mere two-minute drive down the mountain.
The voucher(s) must be handed in to the restaurant upon arrival, and R80 will be credited against the cost of the meal by the restaurant.
If the cost of the meal exceeds the voucher(s) value, the guest is responsible to pay the excess amount to the restaurant.
No credit or refund will be issued by the restaurant should the cost of the meal amount to less than the value of the voucher.
Vouchers are not limited to breakfast, and can be utilized against the cost of any meal at the restaurant should the guest wish to do so.
BREAKAGES/DAMAGE
Breakages, lost keys, etc will be charged for.
PARKING & TRANSPORT
Due to our location on the mountain side, it is essential for guests to have their own transport. There is adequate free off/semi on road parking. Guests are requested not to park in front of the owners’ garage.
ROOM ACCESS
Access to the rooms requires guests to be able to cope with about 25 steps with their luggage. Because of this, we are unfortunately unable to accommodate physically handicapped guests.
SMOKING AND PETS
We are a non-smoking establishment, and smoking is not permitted anywhere in the building or on balconies.
No pets of any description are permitted
PARTIES AND NOISE
No parties are permitted in the rooms, and guests are expected to respect quiet time between 22h00 and 07h00.
CHILDREN
We regret that we do not accept children under the age of 12.
