The Oliver and Thembani room, created by Zimbabwean street artist Oliver Matamba, tells a moving story of faith and the settling power of love. This standard room features a comfortable double bed and a full en-suite bathroom with a bathtub. Guests can enjoy a compact private patio with a peaceful garden view, making it a perfect retreat for reflection.

The Weight of Small Things, curated by new gallery Kumalo/Turpin, explores "home" as a site of care, spirituality, and resistance. This standard room includes a queen-sized bed and a modern shower. It offers a private patio and garden views, surrounded by the original work of well-known Johannesburg-based artists Boemo Diale, Tinyiko Makwaka and Simon Moshapo Jnr.

Love and Blood, developed by writer, musician and sangoma Esinako Ndabeni, is an exhibit that traces maternal lineage and ancestral grounding through three distinct parts. This spacious room offers flexibility with either a king-sized bed or two singles and features a contemporary shower with a private garden view. Guests in this suite enjoy a poolside patio and a desk, as well as an expansive closet.

Home Economics (coming soon), by fashion historian and designer Khensani Mohlatlole, is inspired by the 1950s "township lounge studios" of celebrated photographer Ronald Ngilima. This deluxe room is equipped with a queen-sized bed, a shower, a mini kitchen, a Juliet balcony and an option for a pull-out bed for an additional guest. With its staged interior and second-floor views of the garden, it invites guests to explore cultural authorship while enjoying a premium stay.

Every stay at A42 House includes the comforts of a boutique heritage resort: high-speed Wi-Fi, tea and coffee facilities, secure parking, and a light, "Jozi-coded" homemade breakfast. Additionally, a booking grants automatic membership into the A42 Group, inviting guests to fully participate in the activities and cultural life of this vibrant heritage hub.
