About Monsoon Palace
The Monsoon Palace, also known as the Sajjan Garh Palace, was built in 1884 on a mountain overlooking Lake Fateh Sagar. Visitors come here mainly to see the sweeping views of the lakes and countryside as well as the palaces. Originally an astronomy centre, it became utilized as a hunting lodge and place to watch the monsoon clouds, hence the name.
