Stilbaai, or Still Bay, is a small holiday village adjacent to the Goukou River estuary on the Garden Route, and is famous for its white sandy beaches. Stilbaai's main beach is the only blue flag beach in the area.
The Tuin Op Die Brak Fynbos Park is a popular attraction in Stilbaai, and features over 200 species of Fynbos including some that are endangered. Visitors can explore the labyrinth and braille trail, or try out the sundial that uses your own shadow to tell the time. The whole park is wheelchair friendly. Another popular attraction very close to Stilbaai are the ancient rock pool fish traps, built by the Khoisan some 3000 years ago. These traps are submerged at high tide but exposed at low tide, trapping any fish within the rocks. The traps are still maintained and utilised by a group of locals.
