About Slaughterhouse Walking Trail
The old abattoir walking trail starts from Pula House and follows a gentle route for the casual hiker.
Walk across the river and see the (now defunct) old abattoir. Take a leisurely stroll along the river through some beautiful surroundings to the golf course - the 3rd oldest course in the Free State.
It is a round trip of about 7 kilometres and is perfect for individuals who don't want to take the strain of a mountain hike. You may even discover some old Bushman paintings along the way.
