Sigiriya

Sri Lanka's most iconic and extraordinary sight is Sigiriya, the flat-topped mountain containing the ruins of the ancient kingdom of Kassapa. Rising out of mist-shrouded emerald forests and surrounded by lily ponds, moats and tranquil temples, Sigiriya’s views are mesmerizing and well worth the dizzying climb to reach the top.
