About Robberg 5 Beach

Robberg 5 beach lies just south of the Beacon Isle Hotel and stretches towards Robberg Peninsula. This popular Blue Flag Beach offers great swimming and is perfect for long walks and watching dolphins surf the waves. During winter the Southern Right whales come close to shore to calve in the bay. Lifeguards are on duty during peak season. Facilities include assistance for the physically disabled.

A really beautiful beach. We saw dolphins on several occasions and my kids and husband were boogie boarding when a seal came to play with them. The lifeguards were great and closed the beach once when a shark was spotted.
