About Tamarand Dhow
This authentic ocean going vessel showcases original features and modern facilities and sets sail for lunch, dinner and private celebrations everyday except Sunday.
Moored at the Tamarand Jetty, Mombasa, “Nawalilker” lunchtime cruises depart at 1pm, returning at 3pm and offer a winding, idyllic experience along Tudor Creek, before dining on traditional Swahili cuisine moored in perfect isolation.
Dinner cruises enchant with starlit skies and the distant flickering of Mombasa city as welcome condiments of traditional “Dawa” cocktails smooth the palate on route to Fort Jesus.
The menu proffers a delicious seafood dinner, prepared Swahili style on deck, entertained by a resident band and contented chatter of guests as the dhow slowly weaves its way back to shores of Tamarind Jetty.
