Baobab Grill and Cafe

I was told by my friend about the restaurant so I went to the internet to find out more about the place. I was so impressed, I'm looking forward to take my husband on the 8th April 2014, its his birthday. I cant wait for the evening next week tuesday, I just love the outdoor view especially in the evening. I'm looking forward for the night.

Myself and 4 work colleagues went for dinner to baobab. 1 of the colleagues is German and was looking forward to the meal as he loves South African food. He order the Prawn & Chicken Potjie. The food was terrible, my steak was supposed to be medium but it was well cooked and burnt in places, 2 other colleagues also ordered steak and their's was also burnt. The German at maybe 1/4 of his meal and sent it back. The worst part was that we waiting 30min for drinks and over an hour for our food!! We all agreed we will not ever dine at baobab. Recommendation: Rather go somewhere else if you don't...

The food is quite good, but the service is inefficient and the management has no understanding of how to run a restaurant.

I had the most amazing first time experience at Baobab. The atmosphere was superb and the decor is to die for. I loved the private dining area for those romantic evenings and the food was plain wonderful. I cannot wait for my next experience.
