About The Beach House Grill

The Beach House Grill was opened by Thomas van der Spuy and has become an institution in the area overnight. The Beach House Grill offers an extensive menu with the main emphasis on grills and seafood, complimented by other choices of fine cuisine.

House specialties include prime AAA grade matured steaks, mussel soup, cahoona menu and flambe’s. Through the experience of providing top quality fresh food and impeccable service to the locals and foreign tourists, this restaurant has become renowned overnight.

Directions to The Beach House Grill

Driving along the R27/West Coast Road, turn left onto Birkenhead Drive, once you have reached Melkbosstrand. Follow the road until the beach. Turn right onto Beach Road. The restaurant is on your right-hand side, after 500 m.

I was at the opening of the Beach House and I can't say anything about popular over night.I ordered the kingklip fish and only received half of my 300g portion. When I enquired about it, they said it was the chef's fault and they will gladly send me the other half. By that time I was finished and asked them to give it to me as a take-away. I decided to have the left-overs as lunch and with a big disappointment found that the left-overs was hake and not kingklip.My husband ordered the seafood basket.
