About Sterna Hiking Trail
The Sterna Trail starts near the De Mond Nature Reserve office and meanders to an atmospheric suspension bridge over the Heuningnes River. From here it leads through coastal forest and fynbos to the estuary and beach. This circular trail is named after the rare Damara tern, Sterna balaenarum.
