Hudsons the Burger Joint, as the name implies, is an American-style diner with a contemporary twist in its design by including the use of Tom Dixon Beat lights, genuine leather booths, hand-crafted dining chairs, mounted animal horns and New York city street maps. Their rock and roll beats and attentive, eye-catching staff all set the fast paced tone for the urban consumer on the hunt for casual gourmet.

Each burger has a story; its ingredients, name and recipe are all hand selected and perfected by the owners, David and Ross. It is a simple recipe; a beef patty made with the finest cuts, topped with the freshest ingredients. The bun is no exception, as Ross uses a personal recipe to create its distinctive flavour. Gourmet or innovative, call it what you will, they're just damn good burgers topped with thought-provoking combinations such as biltong chilli cream cheese, bacon jam, deboned rib and beer battered jalapeños, resulting in a sensory explosion.

Sticking by their beliefs that hand-made is best, a must-try is the Boilermaker exclusive to Hudsons, crafted once a month at Lakeside Beerworks, and the Hudsons Pale Ale, which is brewed at the Cape Brewing Company. Finish off the Hudsons experience with their colossal milkshakes, renowned for their ingenious flavours, such as house made fudge. These milkshakes, along with their burgers, have achieved cult status.
