About Carmellos
Carmellos is a typical European-style corner coffee shop in the lovely Mother City. This restaurant doubles as a bakery and at any time you will experience intoxicating smells wafting though the surrounding streets.
The menu is simple, but extensive and the cuisine hearty and comforting. Try a packed omelette for breakfast and couple it with a steaming cup-a-joe. Here you can also enjoy a traditional English, German and even a Saganaki breakfast that consists of two eggs, succulent bacon, cheese grillers, halloumi cheese, saganaki sauce and grilled tomato.
The rest of the menu offers everything from awesome toasted sarmies, interesting pastas, a variety of wraps and even French crepes to hake and chips, waffles and cocktails.
Whatever you are in the mood for, you are sure to leave satisfied.

Travelling on the N1 to Cape Town:• Keep right at the fork, follow the signs for Sea Point/Waterfront and merge onto Nelson Mandela Boulevard;
• Continue onto Buitengracht Street;
• Continue onto New Church Street/M62;
• Continue to follow the M62;
• Turn left onto Upper Union Street;
• Arrive at Kloof Street.
