This exclusive restaurant in Cape Town is an upmarket retreat for all discerning diners out there. Part of this restaurant's success story is head chef Alex, who has travelled the world and cooked for celebrities such as Bono, Sean Combs and Bruce Willis. The menu is a feast, even if only for the eyes. It offers dishes like beetroot carpaccio, topped with apples, fennel, pine nuts and feta cheese and beef tartare, hand cut and seasoned with rocket pesto and parmesan. Springbok medallions on a bed of herb polenta and blueberry jus and the braised lamb shank served with apricot cous cous and pine nuts are two signature dishes here. Sides include tomato and red onion salsa, steamed vegetables and even truffle mash. Try a decadent nutella chocolate mousse or an indulgent chocolate fondant for dessert.
