Boskop Dam Nature Reserve

Boskop dam nature reserve spans 3000 hectares of undulating grassland and offers many outdoor recreational activities including yachting, canoeing, bird watching, fishing, game viewing and camping. Located only 20km north of Potchefstroom, Boskop Reserve is a great place to escape to, whether for a week of camping or just a day drive to admire the view.
The dam is especially well known for its great fishing spots and features species including the smallmouth yellow-fish, large and smallmouth bass, barbel and carp. The site is very popular and plays host to many fishing competitions. Visitors can also enjoy observing over 250 recorded species of bird, as well as wildebeest, hartebeest, sprinkbuck, zebra and blesbok.
