Bedford Cycle Safaris offers a variety of mountain biking trails for the enthusiast.

The first trail "The Devil" is the circular mountain biking route (183 – 200 km) which can be done in 2, 3 or 4 days depending on the fitness level of the riders. This route is a fully guided and catered with comfortable and stylish accommodation at guest farms along the route. Riders start at Request Farm and take on a history tour through the Baviaans River Valley. The grassveld covered hills are reminiscent of the Drakensberg and the clusters of poplar trees are particularly beautiful in their autumn colours.

There is no single track and neither day is technical. There are some punishing hills, while ascending along "The Devil's" back and horns; a total altitude gain of about 1000 m, and from the tip of the second horn it is a fast winding downhill back towards Request Farm. Some of the descent is fairly gradual, but other sections are steep, with sharp blind corners.

Secondly, we have the 7 km, 18 km and 32 km mountain biking trails on Request Farm which are ideal for the whole family in a landscape of beautiful vistas. Besides that, there are many more jeep tracks, 4x4 routes and animal tracks to explore.
