Travellers on the R62 should make a point of visiting the Blue Cow coffee shop on the Barrydale waterfront. The setting is superb with views all round. Feed the fish in the dam, chat with the most knowledgable and friendly owner, Hannette, and enjoy great country cooking. The quiches are heavenly with a generous portion of interesting salads and the cheesecake is as they say "to die for"! Do yourself a favour and take a break in Barrydale at the Blue Cow.

I visited the Blue Cow last week. Found the atmosphere and scenery excellent. Service very good, conversation with owner/manager was very informative, even inspiring. Food was good and fit the atmosphere.
