About Riemvasmaak Hot Springs
Riemvasmaak is found between the Orange and the dry Molopo Rivers. It is about 57 km from Kakamas and 170 km from the Nakop border post with Namibia. The area is 75 000 ha of sheer mountain desert and wilderness. The landscape was formed by volcanic activity millions of years ago.
Visitors can unwind in the hot springs with 80 m granite cliffs surrounding them. Two swimming pools are built at the hot springs, of which one has been shaped on a conversation pit.

good gravel road, interesting springs. The cliffs are impressive. Fun visit to Berg en Dal coffee shop.. as you come into town... had coffee and roosterkoek and vetkoek with butter, jam and cheese. Delicious!

We stayed there in March 2013 with our Scottish cousins. It's a really interesting place to stay. We also had dinner supplied by the locals which was also rather interesting but delicious. Lying in the springs under the stars on a hot summers night is also a really cool experience especially if you live in a city and don't always get to see big skies at night.

Thank you Clarissa and Remitheus! We loved our stay at the hot springs in the chalets and were pleasantly surprised by how comfortable they were. The electricity made the stay easy and we hope to return and to not only enjoy your hospitality but also to explore your beautiful landscape even more.
