The Growcery is an eco-camp located on the banks of the Orange River, neighbouring the Nababeep Conservancy and the Ricthersveld National Park. We are situated only 22 km from Vioolsdrift Border Post. The Growcery offers a tranquil retreat and the perfect escape into the wild. Our camp is peaceful and offers a relaxing atmosphere.
When visiting the Orange River in the Vioolsdrift area we invite you to join us on a rafting trip or a 4×4 self drive or guided trail in the Richtersveld. The perfect stop over when visiting from Cape Town or Namibia. Our bush camp offers a fantastic location from where you can partake in a variety of outdoor adventures. Hiking and rafting being the most popular along with 4 x 4 drives, mountain biking and kayaking.
Orange river accommodation at the Growcery offers 4×4 Camp, private grassed campsites with a river view as well the Chic Shacks which are furnished with two beds. Rated the best Vioolsdrift Accommodation by the ‘Weg – Magazine’ 2014

Safari: We offer river safaris, hiking safaris and 4x4 Richtersveld Safaris when visiting The Growcery. Visitors are welcome to inquire about these on-site activities at the camp, or, book in advance to make your stay a memorable experience.
Romantic: Our establishment makes for a unique romantic atmosphere. We have very creative and flexible ideas that can be booked based on your own personal ideas
Dinner meals are available at R140 per person and need to be booked in advance.
We have a standard breakfast at R65 per person, a cold breakfast at R65 per person or our Richtersveld Sunrise Breakfast at R95 p/p. These can be booked upon arrival.
We also offer Lunch, which mainly consist of a toasted sandwich and a garden salad at R65 p/p which can also be booked upon arrival.
All accommodation reservations need to be paid prior to arrival. Private Campsite fee is R65 per day which includes electricity, private braai facility, a wash up basin and you have your own private, grassed camp to yourself. These camp sites have a breathtaking view over the river and mountains and you have a safe and comfortable swimming spot right on your “doorstep”.
There is no daily camp site fee for our Public/Shared Camp sites as they are open to be shared with other guests. These camp sites have a spectacular mountain view.
