About Kambro Cottage
Your host, Greg, invites you to experience the history, nature and beauty of Graaff Reinet while staying at Kambro Cottage, his little refuge in the Karoo. Kambro Cottage is a single-storey, flat-roofed dwelling built in 1840; it is a National Monument and is an intrinsic part of the town’s history. Kambro Cottage is centrally located in the historical section of town, away from the hustle and bustle, yet within walking distance to shops, banks, restaurants, the museum complex and the famous Dutch Reformed 'Grootkerk' Church. It is surrounded by numerous examples of Karoo-style architecture which are reminders of a bygone era. Accommodation is provided for in two tastefully decorated cottages, each with their own private entrance and safe off-street, undercover parking. The Somerset Cottage and the Cradock Cottage are air-conditioned, and equipped all the modern conveniences that you may need during your stay. Guests have a choice of self-catering or bed and breakfast accommodation. These two affordable cottages are the ideal overnight stop for businessman, couples and small groups.
Regrettably no pets are allowed as Kambro Cottage has its own permanent pet residents.
