The lodge boasts three categories of unique tented accommodations strategically secluded to ensure a feeling of privacy and intimacy at all times. The lodge can accommodate a maximum of 20 guests, ensuring exclusivity that defines contemporary luxury.

Built beneath a thatched canopy that keeps the tent cool, the luxury Sky-Luxe Tents are secluded from each other to ensure privacy and tranquillity. The san-dwellings-inspired sky bed provide stunning panoramic views of the Kalahari.

The Kalahari Classic Tents are sheltered by a uniquely structured slatted canopy inspired by the traditional dwellings of the San people. Spacious and aesthetically furnished, they are best suited for couples.

The Kalahari Classic Family Tent comprises two luxury tents situated on an inter-leading deck. As the only one, the family tent provides exclusivity, privacy, and space for the family.

Mealtimes at Evolve Back Gham Dhao Lodge are events to look forward to and an ethnic team handles kitchen duties with great passion and enthusiasm, serving freshly baked bread, delicious salads, various game dishes and traditional Botswana cuisine. Guests gather at the large dinner table in the main lodge to partake of a sumptuous dinner, share stories and get to know each other.

A bush dinner is served al fresco deep in the wilderness and under the myriad stars of the Kalahari skies, it is a wonderful and primal experience with the vast landscape providing the perfect backdrop. Guests can enjoy sundowners with a fine selection of drinks, cocktails and delicious bites served against the unforgettable backdrop of a Kalahari sunset.

The main lodge features a lounge, a dining room and a bar area housed beneath a pitched thatch and timber structure. Inspired by the traditional protective enclosure or stockade, the Boma is an expansive dining area where meals are served al fresco. The lodge has a swimming pool with a sundeck overlooking the Kalahari landscape. Evolve Back Gham Dhao Lodge has a permanent waterhole located within viewing distance of the main lodge. It is perfect for guests to view wildlife while enjoying a drink of their own. A private airstrip licensed to a maximum of 5700 kg, makes the lodge easily accessible within Botswana. Permission to land is required prior to arrival.

Early morning and afternoon game drives are on offer with professional and experienced guides conducting each drive in specially redesigned open-sided 4x4 vehicles. Private game drives, night drives, and day trips to the Central Kalahari Game Reserve are also available on request and at an additional cost.

A diverse and incredible birdlife, with over 250 bird species positively identified can also be enjoyed while on a game drive and guests can journey on foot into the bush with the resident San People, one of the earth’s oldest civilisations, who will passionately share their culture and knowledge that enables them to survive the harsh and arid conditions of the Kalahari.

A diverse range of wildlife, well adapted to this unique landscape, inhabits the Kalahari. Some of the mammal species include predators such as lion, leopard, brown hyena and antelope species such as gemsbok, blue wildebeest, greater kudu and eland.
