About Agapanthus Row

Agapanthus Row offers self-catering accommodation in the historical leafy suburb of Rondebosch.

Our accommodation comprises two identical suites, known as the Rhino and Elephant suites. Each suite has a queen size bed in the bedroom area and en-suite bathroom with shower. A kitchenette with a counter and stools, microwave, toaster, kettle and bar fridge.

They offer DStv, WiFi, separate entrances and secure parking behind electronic gates and electric fencing. Sit on the vine-covered patio in summer and enjoy the shade and a view of Devils Peak. A boma with Weber braai is situated at the bottom of the verdant garden under old established oaks.

The third suite, known as The Jasmine Nook, is our smaller budget-friendly suite. The Nook has an en-suite shower and toilet room, a double bed with Open View TV, WiFi and offers a bar fridge, kettle, and microwave but no kitchenette. All three suites are supplied with tea, coffee, milk, sugar and a choice of cereals.

We are conveniently situated close to the University of Cape Town, V + A Waterfront, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, Cape Town International Airport, Pinelands, and Claremont Fertility Clinics and Groote Schuur and Red Cross Children's Hospitals.

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay. It was comfortable and clean with a lovely garden to look at whilst sitting on the veranda. It had all you needed for a short stay. One suggestion is for the hosts to perhaps state if they do not want guests to arrive after a certain time in the evening. We had a delay with our flight and even though I did state in an email that we would be arriving at about 10.30pm, we arrived at 11.15pm. We were greeted by a very unfriendly host who made us feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome. We assumed she was the host Kate, but she didn’t bother to introduce herself....

It was very small and would have been a great deal better with a little kitchenette to include a sink and a stove top. Microwaving food can be limiting.

We had the pleasure of staying at Agapanthus Row for a month over the holidays. An absolutely lovely experience. Rob and Kate were wonderful hosts--attentive to every need, but unobtrusive. The garden, with its gazebo, is beautiful. Hope to stay there again!
