About Adama Artistic Chalets & Teepees

Adama Artistic Chalets & Teepees are situated within the Dinokeng Big 5 Game Reserve, only a 40-minute drive from Pretoria and a convenient and quick 100 kilometres drive from Johannesburg.

We offer two family chalets that are also suited for small groups of friends, and then there also two newly built and smaller chalets, perfect for couples for an intimate getaway. Surrounded by the bushveld and the free-roaming game of the reserve, and being located at least 50 metres from each other and unfenced to the reserve, it is the ideal spot to relax, enjoy the tranquillity of nature under starry night skies and for spending some quality time with your family and friends.

Each chalet is fully equipped for self-catering, and each has their own boma braai area. The owners, Rienie and Armand have put their personal touch to the chalets, and as both of them are artists and pottery masters, the chalets are a clearly reflect their flair for detail, as the chalets all have a wonderful bohemian and welcoming feel to them. The chalets are not only equipped with the owners' beautiful pottery creations, but they are also furnished with their own designed and built wooden furniture.

Although there are several game drive operators in the reserve, there is also the option of doing self-drives in the reserve, starting only about four kilometres from our entrance, and which can be booked through the reserve's office. There are also quite a few restaurants in the area, within a five-kilometre radius from our chalets, where guests can take a break from cooking and book for either breakfasts, lunches or dinners.

A breakaway at Adama Artistic Chalets & Teepees is sure to be memorable and enjoyable, beyond expectations.

Safari: We are located in the Dinokeng Big 5 Game Reserve. Listen to a jackal calling its mate and if you are lucky, you will see the bush babies and nonnetjies owl amidst the many night sounds.

NO GROUP BOOKINGS ALLOWED:
Our chalets are all ±80 meters apart, and NO walking is allowed between chalets, as our property is open to the Big 5 Game Reserve AND NO COMMUNAL SOCIAL AREAS are available to accommodate groups.
Should you require more than ONE chalet for your booking (max allowance of up to 10 adults & children total), PLEASE CONTACT US DIRECTLY BY CALL OR EMAIL BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH ONLINE CONFIRMATION!!!! Group bookings MAY BE DECLINED/CANCELLED if no prior confirmation is made with us specifically in this regard.
Requests for earlier check in or later check out can be discussed and accommodated, IF POSSIBLE.
DINOKENG RESERVE FEES:
Conservation/Entrance Fees - R80 per Adult / R50 per Child - ONCE OFF & Payable directly to the reserve gates (upon entry or exit)
Self Drive Route Permits - R250 per car for 2 day permit / R380 per car for 2 day permit, or R450 per car for 7 day permit (R50 per car will be payable as conservation fee if you do not purchase the selfdrive permit - All reserve costs can be paid prior to arrival through the reserve's website, or on arrival at the reserve entrance gates.
