We are/were regular patrons of Salvatore and had many wonderful nights there. On 4 June we went through to Salvatore at 22:15 (hardly late). Nobody greeted us at the door. We went upstairs for cocktails, only to walk back down due to the heavy smoke. We seated ourselves in a booth, no service, no acknowledgement. Eventually we were acknowledged. We requested a cocktail menu. No service. Another waiter came to help, we requested the cocktail menu, they said we would have to sit upstairs. We said no due to the smoke. They said they could only serve cocktails if we ate. We requested the food...
