Pretty but dirty
I found East London in general to be dirty and untidy. The greenery is, however, lovely. You can find the same thing in Knysna and it will at least be clean.

Gonubie is a charming little town outside East London. It has a lovely beach with a boardwalk where you can safely stroll or sit and watch the sunset.
